SEVENTY-SOMETHING: Odessa's 74 points matched the Louisiana Swashbucklers' May 13, 2007 output for the most points scored on the Thunder in a game. Louisiana also put 70 on the Thunder when the teams met again on May 26, 2007.

MAKESHIFT: Damon Lawrence was playing his first game since the season opener and Eliumbe Baptiste was making his season debut. With Kevin Lenford out, three different players handled kick returns.

GAMESMANSHIP: At Thunder home games, the visiting team would conduct its pregame warm-ups with the PA system playing the theme from "Barney." So how did Odessa counter? Minnie Riperton's "Loving You"; William Hung's "She Bangs" and Barry Manilow. Ruthless.

PINK FOOTBALLS: As part as of a promotion to raise money for breast cancer research, pink footballs were the official game balls, except for kicking situations.

DISTRIBUTION: The two quartebacks combined for nine touchdowns that went to eight different receivers, or 11 touchdowns to ten different players if you include Wes Cooper's two picks ... Six different Thunder players caught at least one pass.
